The Celts were a race of people originating in central Europe and settling in what is now known as the Six Celtic nations of Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, the Isle of Man, and Brittany. Although the Celts have a rich expansive heritage spanning the majority of continental Europe, for the purpose of this blog, the focus will be on the Irish Celtic tradition, its mythology, religion and imagery, and its evolution and influence on other genres of art throughout the centuries to the present day.
